Administrative / biographical background:

Opened in 1779 at Sunderland Street by the Wesleyan Methodists. Rebuilt in 1779. Closed in 1969. For the history of the chapel see /10/9. The Sunday School associated with the Chapel was held in Mill Street Wesleyan School until 1947 when it moved to the Chapel premises. Pre 1947 Sunday School records are listed with those of Mill Street Wesleyan School, ref. EMS 13.
